Ph.D. Scholarships are available in the group of NUS Presidential Young Professor Yanwei LUM at the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
This will be for the January 2024 intake. The goal is to develop highly efficient and selective electrocatalysts for the conversion of CO2 into chemicals and fuels. Such catalysts will be integrated into lab-scale CO2 electrochemical reactors where conversion will take place. Some examples of activities to be carried out in the project are:
1. Synthesis and testing of catalyst materials for electrochemical CO2 reduction
2. Characterization of materials (e.g. XRD, TEM, XPS, SEM etc).
3. In-situ catalyst studies (Raman, FTIR, AFM, STM etc).
4. Product analysis (GC, GCMS, HPLC, NMR etc.).
